Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will operate a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The Forklift Operator will also be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy,

performing routine maintenance on the forklift, and ensuring a safe work environment.

Core Job Responsibilities:​

• Operate a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise
   

• Perform routine maintenance on the forklift, such as checking oil and water levels,
  and reporting any malfunctions
   

• Ensure inventory accuracy by verifying and documenting the quantity and quality
  of items received and shipped.
   

• Load and unload trucks and containers using the forklift
   

• Ensure a safe working environment by following safety procedures and wearing
  appropriate personal protective equipment
   

• Communicate with other team member to ensure efficient and effective operations

 

Behavioral Requirements:

Must be willing to work overtime on short notice and on weekends.

​

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

•  Valid forklift operator certification

• At least two (2) years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or
  manufacturing environment

•  Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

• Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

​

This position is required to work in a climate-controlled production facility. While
performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near
moving mechanical parts and must follow standards of safety. The noise level in
the work environment is usually moderate.
